Our Mission Statement

We are an alliance of girls from Richard Merkin Middle School who have the passion needed to change the world, starting in our Pico-Union neighborhood. We will help decrease food insecurity in our community by providing food resources to local food banks. We will provide homeless women with personal hygiene kits. Finally, we will involve our whole school community through donation drives and volunteer opportunities to increase our civic engagement.

GBLA: Girls Build LA, an organization that aims to help young women develop STEM skills and solve social problems.
RMMS: Richard Merkin Middle School, an Alliance College-Ready Public School.
