Our Project: Addressing food insecurity !

Team Planning:
We are involving our school community in acts of Service because we will host fundraisers and donation drives for people in need. We will ask our staff and students to donate supplies for food banks, and encourage students to spend volunteer hours to help us make kits for homeless women.

This connects to the community right outside of our gate because the supplies we collect will be given to people in our neighborhood. We will also inform our staff and students about the local organizations (food banks and women's shelters) that work to improve the lives of people every day.

Proposed Budget:
We will need funding for the following...

- Set of bags (100-200) to make our homeless kits: estimated $150
- Supplies to fill our kits: estimated $150

- Supplies for on-campus workshops (incentives for student competitions for food drives, other workshop ideas to come): estimated $150
- Team meeting snacks and supplies: estimated $100
- Team shirts or other swag: estimated $150

Total (with wiggle room for adjustments): $700
